The People Behind the Platform
Kaufman & Company is run by a small, senior team spanning investments, capital markets, technology, and legal, guided by a family office board with deep ties to the platform.
Daniel Kaufman
A builder, problem solver, and visionary leader who began his real estate career in Detroit in 1992, flipping homes, and went on to launch his first real estate development company 25+ years ago. Since then, he has overseen $2B+ in project value and 10,000+ units across all asset classes, from affordable, mixed-income, and market-rate communities to 1,100+ hotel rooms nationwide, working across the Mountain West, Texas, Florida, Vermont, and the Northeast.
These figures represent Daniel Kaufman's full career track record, not solely work completed under today's unified Kaufman & Company platform, and reflect current assets under management as of October 2026.
Outside of Kaufman & Company, Daniel documents his personal and passion projects, modular housing, 3D-printed construction, prefab, AI, skiing, and travel, on the Personal & Passion Projects section of his site.
“You don’t need another opinion. You need someone who’s done it.”
