Weekender

Stay for the weekend. Remember it longer. Design-driven hotels and destinations built around the places worth experiencing.

Brand Story

Weekender is Kaufman & Company's platform for design-driven hospitality: hotels and destinations built around a specific place rather than a repeatable room count. The idea is simple. A great weekend away is remembered for where it happened and what it felt like, not for a lobby that could belong to any city. Weekender properties are meant to lead with that sense of place, built around local food and beverage, outdoor activity and the character of the destination itself.

As a relaxed, experiential and design-forward platform, Weekender is where Kaufman & Company's hospitality thinking lives, distinct from the company's residential and mixed-use work, and built for travelers choosing a destination as much as a place to stay.

What We Build

Design-forward hotels

Boutique and destination hotels built around architecture, materials and a strong point of view.

Destination-led experiences

Food and beverage, outdoor activity and local programming built into the stay, not bolted on.

Place-specific design

Every property shaped by the character of its destination rather than a repeatable brand template.

Platform in Development

Weekender is a newer platform within Kaufman & Company's portfolio, and the company's first hospitality communities under this brand are still taking shape. Rather than announce destinations ahead of them being real, Kaufman & Company is building this platform deliberately, the same way it approaches every community: grounded in an actual place, not a press release. Check back as the first Weekender properties move from concept into development, or reach out directly if you're bringing an opportunity to the table.

Philosophy

Kaufman & Company believes hospitality works best when it's inseparable from its destination. A hotel that could be swapped into any city isn't doing its job. Weekender exists to build the opposite: places worth traveling for, designed with enough specificity that remembering the stay means remembering the place.
